Your eyes are playing tricks on you, you don’t see a Nike check mark, it’s the mallet of the talking drum. The Ọyọ talking drums (the dundun and the gangan) produce sounds to mimic human speech. Yorùbá uses the talking drum as a way to pass on history from one generation to the next. Used to pass on messages, make an announcement, for entertainment and most importantly used to talk. The pitch is manipulated such that it literally talks and is understood by the Yorùbá people. We call it the Talk Tee. Think of it as the Yorùbá Talks selection.
